LOWER UNIT
INSPECTION
Driveshaft
• lnspect driveshaft / splines for wear, twist ar other damage.
Replace if necessary.
• lnspect driveshaft bearing for pitting, roughness or other
damage. Replace if necessary.
Driveshaft Oil Seal Housing
• lnspect housing far cracks ar ather damage. Replace if
necessary.
• lnspect oil seals and O-ring far wear, cuts, nicks or tears.
Propeller Shaft Bearing Housing
• lnspect the housing for cracks ar ather damage. Replace if
necessary.
• lnspect the propeller shaft bearings and the reverse gear
bearing far pitting, rough or other damage. Replace if nec­
essary.
• lnspect the oil seals and the O-ring for cuts, nícks or tears.
