core I shaft. lf continuity exists, replace armature.

5. lnspect continuity between adjacent commutator seg­
ments. lf no continuity exists, replace armature.
BRUSHES
Measure length of each brush.

Brush length:
Standard: 16.0 mm (0.63 in)
Service limit: 12.0 mm (0.47 in)
lf measurement exceeds service limit, replace brush.
BRUSH HOLDER
lnspect brush holder continuity.
