ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION-140 (COUNTER ROTATION)
Pinion Bearing
IACAUTION
1
Before installing bearing, ensure that inside of gearcase
Is clean and free of debris.
1. Assemble the following components of Universal Pinion
Bearing Remover and lnstaller kit, P/N 391257.

1/4 - 20 x 1/2 in Hex Head Screw

1 in O.O. Flat Washer
@ 341437: Spacer
@ 391260: Bearing and Plate
@ 326582: Rod
@ 326574: Remover/lnstaller

1/4 - 20 x 1 1/2 in Hex Head Screw
2. Place bearing on installer tool with lettered side of bear­
ing facing tool. Use Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to
hold bearing on tool.
3. lnsert tool and bearing into gearcase. Using a rawhide
mallet, drive bearing into gearcase until washer
