Camshaft runout
Using a set of V-blocks, support the camshaft on a surface
plate. Measure runout using dial gauge.

Camshaft runout:
Service limlt: 0.10 mm (0.004 in)
lf measurement exceeds service limit, replace camshaft.
CAMSHAFT JOURNAL
lnspect camshaft journals and camshaft housing for pitting,
scratches, wear or other damage. Replace camshaft or cylin­
der head with housing if necessary.
NOTE:
Camshaft housing and cylinder head should be replaced as a
set.
