lnstall intake manifold assembly. (See page 6-4)
FUEL INJECTOR
lnstall fuel injectors. (See page 5-13)
FINAL ASSEMBLY CHECK
Perform following checks to ensure proper and safe opera­
tion of repaired unit:
• Ali parts removed have been returned to their original posi­
tions.
• Lower unit gear engagement is properly adjusted.
• Fuel and water hose routing matches service manual illus­
tration. (See page 10-8 to 10-11)
• Wire routing matches service manual illustration. (See
page 10-2 to 1 O-7)
• No fuel leakage is evident when fuel system is pressur-
ized. (See page 5-4)
• No water leakage is evident during final test running.
ENGINE CONTROL (140)
The specifications of engine control system such as ignition
and fuel injection systems on model 140 are basically the
same as those on 90/115.
However, the control specifications on 140 differ from 90/115
as shown below.
ldling/Trolling speed
ldling/Trolling engine speed as controlled by IAC system:
• ldling/Trolling engine speed: 700 ± 50 rpm
• IAC duty ratio (at idling/trolling): Approximately 30%
NOTE:
To adjust idling/trolling engine speed manual/y on 140. use
the same procedure as 90/115 and adjust the speed to 700 ±
50 rpm with the IAC va/ve duty set to 30%.
lgnition timing
The ignition timing is controlled within the following range
according to the engine operating condition.
• lgnition timing advance range:
BTDC 5º - 45º
• lgnition timing (at idling/trolling):
BTDC 1 Oº
±
Over revolutíon limiter
The over-rev detecting speed is 6500 rpm.
