Remove two bolts

securing propeller shaft bearing
housing to gearcase.
IACAUTION

Shift Rod must be removed before removing propeller
shaft and bearing housing assembly.
11. Using special tools, draw out propeller shaft bearing
housing. Remove propeller shaft and bearing housing
assembly.

12. Hold pinion nut securely, then fit special tool to the drive­
shaft and loosen pinion nut.

13. Remove tour bolts

securing driveshaft oil seal housing

then remove oil seal housing and pinion shim

14. Lift out driveshaft assembly @. Remove driveshaft collar
