Subsection 02 (CIRCUIT, COMPONENTS AND CARE)

Draining of the cooling system is accomplished by

a drain hose located at the lowest point of the cir-

The 947 engine has a conventional cooling sys-

tem. The water is pre-heated in the tuned pipe wa-

ter jacket before entering the engine or cylinder

As with other models, the water supply is provid-

ed by a pressurized area in the jet pump between

the impeller and venturi.

Water is directed to the water jacket of the tuned

Water circulates in the jackets of the tuned pipe

head and the exhaust manifold. It is consequently

pre-heated by the exhaust system.

Then, water enters the cylinder-block water jack-

ets through passages located above and below

exhaust ports.
