• Tighten the crankcase bolts a little at a time to
equalize the pressure.
CAUTION
!
Use the new copper washers and new gasket
washers to prevent oil leakage.
NOTE
Fit the new copper washers "C" and new
gasket washers "D" to the crankcase bolts.
Tightening torque
Crankcase bolt (M6): 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
Crankcase bolt (M8): 26 N·m (2.6 kgf-m, 19.0 lb-ft)
Crankcase bolt (M10) (Initial): 30 N·m (3.0 kgf-m,
21.5 lb-ft)
Crankcase bolt (M10) (Final): 50 N·m (5.0 kgf-m,
36.0 lb-ft)
• Check that the driveshaft and countershaft rotate
smoothly.

Oil Pressure Regulator / Oil Strainer
• Clean the oil strainers using compressed air.
• Apply grease to the O-rings.
CAUTION
!
Use the new O-rings to prevent oil leakage.
NOTE
• Align the boss "A" with the groove "B" of
the lower crankcase.
• Align the boss "C" with the hole "D" of the
lower crankcase.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
