Crankshaft
• Install the crankshaft assembly to the upper
crankcase.
• Apply engine oil to each crankshaft journal and
bearing lightly.
• Insert the thrust bearing with oil groove "A" facing the
crank web.
Balancer Shaft
• Install the balancer shaft on the upper crankcase.
NOTE
Align the C-ring with the groove of bearing
and the bearing pin with the indent on the
bearing.
• Set the balancer shaft so that its punch mark "A" is
aligned with the punch mark "B" on the crankshaft.
• Turn the bearing to fit the bearing down pin "C" in the
position.
• Apply grease to the O-ring.

• Install the oil seal (1).

Transmission
• Install the drive shaft assembly (1) and countershaft
assembly (2). Refer to "Transmission Installation in
Section 5B (Page 5B-4)".
