Front Piston
1) Place a clean rag over the cylinder base so as not to
drop the piston pin circlips into the crankcase.
2) Remove the piston pin circlip (1).
3) Draw out the piston pin (2) and remove the piston
(3).
NOTE
Scribe the cylinder number on the piston
head.

Rear Cylinder Head Cover
1) Remove the rear cylinder spark plugs. Refer to
"Spark Plug Removal and Installation in Section 1H
(Page 1H-6)".
2) Remove the rear cylinder head cover (1) and its
gasket.

Rear Camshaft
1) Turn the crankshaft 2/3 (234°) and align the "R I T"

2) Remove the cam chain tension adjuster cap bolt (1)
3) Remove the rear cam chain tension No. 2 adjuster

Engine Mechanical:
line mark "A" on the generator rotor with the mating
surfaces "B" of the upper crankcase. Also, to align
the camshafts to the position as shown in the figure.
NOTE
At the above condition, the rear cylinder is at
TDC of compression stroke and also the
engraved lines "C" on the camshafts are
parallel with the mating surface of the
cylinder head.
