Configuring Failover and LoadSharing

Complete the following steps to configure failover and optionally
LoadSharing.
* Note: Refer to Chapter 4, "Configuring RFC 1483" in
the Avaya P550/P880 ATM Uplink User Guide for
more information, unless otherwise noted.
* Note: LoadSharing is only supported on 80 Series
ATM Uplink modules.
1. Create one VSP on the ATM Uplink module.
a. Select Modules & Ports > Configuration from the Web
Agent. The Module Information dialog box opens.
b. Select the switch port number for which you want to
modify the from the Switch Ports column for the specific
ATM Uplink Module. The Switch Ports dialog box opens.
c. Click Manage Virtual Switch Ports. The Virtual Switch
Ports dialog box opens.
* Note: You may have to scroll down to see the Manage
Virtual Switch Ports link.
d. Select Create. The Create Virtual Switch Port dialog
box opens.
e. Enter the user-assigned name for the virtual switch port.
f. Select Type from the pull-down menu.
g. Select whether or not you want packet replication:
Yes - Default - Select when you have multiple links,
each with a different remote ATM destination
No - Select if you have a single remote ATM
destination.
* Note: You cannot modify this parameter after the VSP
is created.
h. Select whether you want to load share between PVCs:
Yes
No - Default
