The exported parameters are:
MINTH (Minimum Threshold) - the number of 48 byte memory
buffers the weighted queue may hold before any drop decision may
be made. The weighted queue is the damped average queue. Must
be an integer value from 1 to 254.
MAXTH (Maximum Threshold) - the total number of 48 byte
memory buffers the weighted queue can hold. Once this value is
reached all subsequent frames are dropped until the weighted queue
depth decreases. Must be an integer value from 2 to 255.
PROB (Probability Factor) - adjust the probability that a particular
frame will be dropped as the queue depth increases. Must be an
integer value between –4 and –15.
* Note: A probability factor of –4 will increase the probability
that a frame is dropped across the MINTH – MAXTH
range while a probability factor of –15 will decrease that
probability.
WQ (Queue Weight) indicates how much damping there is between
the actual queue and the weighted queue. This value must be an
integer between –7 and –10 with –7 indicating a lightly damped
queue and –10 a strongly damped queue. Less damping increases
sensitivity to traffic bursts, while more damping decreases it.
* Note: The following restrictions are enforced by the interface:
MAXTH must be greater than MINTH.
(MAXTH – MINTH) * 2
equal to 1.
As an example of restriction 2, when MAXTH is 33 and
MINTH is 1 then the difference is 32, so PROB may not
be –4 because 2 -4 is 1/16 and 32 * 1/16 is greater than
1.
PROB
must be less than or
