Avaya P550R/P580/P880/P882 Multiservice Switch ATM Uplink Module User Guide, Version 2.0
The ATM Uplink module supports two versions of application code
as well as one version of boot code. In the event the module will not
start using application code, the module can be started with boot
code in order to run diagnostics and change the configuration. Boot
code does not allow you to run ATM protocols and/or pass traffic.
Application code supports the full feature set of the ATM Uplink
module (features depend on the version of code you are running).
Downloading application or boot code requires that you have a TFTP
server running and a copy of the code you wish to download.
Further, the TFTP server must be reachable through an IP Interface
on one of the switch's data ports or the supervisor's Ethernet console
port.
The following procedure is applicable to downloading both
application code as well as boot code. This procedure can also be
accomplished via the command line interface. Refer to the ATM
Uplink Module CLI Reference for more details.
* Note: Once you have downloaded new code, the ATM Uplink
module must be reset. This can be accomplished by
resetting the entire switch or just the ATM Uplink
module as explained below.
