Creating a link
for the VSP
Avaya P550R/P580/P880/P882 Multiservice Switch ATM Uplink User Guide, Version 2.0.
b. Select the switch port number for the ATM Uplink module
on which you want to modify the virtual switch ports from
the Switch Ports column. The Switch Ports dialog box
opens.
c. Select Manage Virtual Switch Ports. The Virtual
Switch Ports dialog box opens.
* Note: You may have to scroll down to see the Manage
Virtual Switch Ports link.
d. Select Create. The Create Virtual Switch Port dialog
box opens.
e. Enter the user-assigned name for the VSP.
f. Select Routed from the "Type" pull-down menu.
g. Select NO from the "Packet Replication" pull-down menu.
h. Select NO from the "Load Share" pull-down menu.
i. Click Apply to save your changes, or Cancel to restore
previous settings.
2. To create a link for the VSP:
* Note: For more information on Creating Links for
VSP's see
Switch Ports" on page
* You can only create/enable one link for each
routed VSP.
a. Select Modules & Ports > Configuration from the Web
Agent. The Module Information dialog box opens.
b. Select the switch port number for which you want to
create ATM links from the Switch Ports column for the
specific ATM Uplink Module. The Switch Ports dialog box
opens.
c. Select Manage Virtual Switch Ports. The Virtual Switch
Ports dialog box opens.
* Note: You may have to scroll down to see the Manage
Virtual Switch Ports link.
