Name Enter the user-assigned name for the virtual
switch port. (1 - 31 Characters)
Type Select the type of switch port.

• Simple Bridge - Used when each VC carries a
single protocol such as Ethernet or Token
Ring traffic.
• LLC Bridge - Used when the ATM Uplink
module is connected to a device that uses
LLC Multiplexing. This provides the ability
to send multiple protocols down the same

• Routed - Used when sending routed traffic
