INSTALLING THE V-BELT CASE

1. Install:
• Oil seal "1"
New
(into outer V-belt case)
Installed depth of oil seal "a"
4.0–4.3 mm (0.16–0.17 in)
2. Fill the space "b" shown in the illustration with
10 g (0.35 oz) or more of lithium-soap-based
grease.

3. Install:
• Bearing retainer "1"
TIP
• Install the bearing retainer "1" with its mark "a"
facing outward.
• Apply locking agent (LOCTITE®) to the
threads of the bearing retainer screw.
