If If you do not want to use the loaded firmware file, you can remove this again with the
"Delete" button.
● Activate and restart
If you want to use the downloaded firmware file, click the "Activate and restart" button.
Note that updating the firmware can take a while.
Note
No configuration during activation
During activation until the RTU restarts, the WBM is not locked.
Do not make any settings during this time. It is not possible to establish whether settings
are correctly adopted during this time.
Note
Do not switch off the RTU
During activation of the firmware do not switch off the RTU. This avoids the occurrence of
inconsistent statuses.
Note
Restarting the RTU
When the new firmware is activated, the RTU runs a restart. You can recognizes the
current status based on the LED picture, see section LEDs (Page 40).
● Delete
Deletes a loaded and not yet activated firmware file from the RTU.

Operating status

Operating statuses
Apart from using this WBM page you can also execute the functions described below using
the button on the RTU, see section The button "WKUP/RESET" (Page 47).
The three buttons on this tab have the following functions:
● Shut down to safe status
Shutting down to a safe status has the effect that the RTU books out of the mobile
wireless network and ends all writes to the SD card. This is a requirement for changing a
SIM card or an SD card.
If you want to change the battery (when using only one battery module), you can then
disconnect the device from the power supply.
