The button "WKUP/RESET"
Functions of the button
The "WKUP/RESET" button has the following functions:
● Set the RTU to the service mode
Setting the RTU to the service mode activates the LEDs and the LAN interface "X1P1".
For a period that can be configured in the WBM, the connection of a configuration
computer to the LAN interface and the call of the WBM are therefore enabled. This allows
the configuration of the RTU to be changed locally during operation.
● Shut down to safe status
When it shuts down to a safe status the RTU books out of the mobile wireless network
and completes all writes to the SD card.
You can then disconnect the device from the power supply. You require shutting down to
the safe status for the following situations:
– Replacing the SIM card
– Replacing the SD card
– Replacing a battery when you only use a single battery module (with or without battery
– Taking the RTU out of operation
● Resetting to factory settings
By resetting to factory settings, the RTU is reset to the status as it was delivered from the
factory. This deletes all the configured settings.
For the precise effects of resetting, refer to the section Resetting to factory settings
(Page 257).
Pressing the button
By pressing the button in different ways, the functions described above are triggered:
