● Integration time of the sensor (ms)
The integration time is used to match the sampling time of the input of the RTU with the
conversion of time of the sensor.
From the drop-down list, select a time that comes closest to the integration time (or
conversion time) of the sensor. If you do not know the integration time of the sensor,
select the lowest value.
Note that high integration times increase the power consumption of the RTU.
Range of values:
– 40 ms
– 100 ms
– 250 ms
Note the effect of the integration time on the formation of the output signal of the tag, see
"Smoothing".
● Smoothing
With this parameter the signal read in is smoothed in every update cycle by reading the
applied signal several times. The individual values are read at intervals of the integration
time configured above.
The selectable smoothing degrees (see range of values) correspond to different
smoothing factors. The smoothing factor decides how often the analog value is read in
every update cycle. Example: With smoothing degree. "Weak" the input is read four
times.
From the individually read values, the mean value is formed which is written to the
process image via the output parameter of the tag. This value is then used for further
processing by the program and for saving or transfer to the communications partner.
Range of values:
– None
– Weak
– Medium
– Strong
