Backing up configuration data prior to resetting
If you do not want to discard configuration data of the RTU, you can back up the data prior to
resetting as follows:
● Configuration data on the SD card
When using an SD card, you can remove the SD card prior to resetting and use it again
after the reset. Since you cannot change the SD card during operation, you need to follow
the steps below:
– Shut down the RTU to the safe status
– Remove the SD card
– Reset to factory settings
– After the restart when shut down the RTU to the safe status
– Insert the SD card
● Saving on the configuration PC
As an alternative you can save the configuration file on the configuration PC and
following the reset and subsequent restart download it to the RTU, refer to the section
Configuration (Page 99).

Configuration of the logging
In some cases, product support can send you a logging file of the type *.sup to log events.
You save this logging file in the file system of the configuration PC. On this WBM page you
download the file to the RTU.
For logging you require an SD card with at least 8 MB free space.

After selecting a logging file stored on the configuration PC with the "Search" button, the
file name is displayed here.
● Search
Searches the file system of the configuration PC for a logging file saved there that is
intended to be loaded on the RTU.
