If the RTU does not receive a sign of life from the master within the configured time, it
interprets this as a disruption of the master. The RTU aborts the connection and attempts
to re-establish it.
Save values acc. to event classes
● Class 1 / Class 2 / Class 3
Here you specify how the values of data points assigned as an event of class 1, 2 or 3
are saved.
The following options are available for each of the three classes:
– All values chronological
– Only current value
You configure the data points as an event of a specific class on the WBM page Data
points (Page 183).
Send buffer
● Class 1 / Class 2 / Class 3
Here, for each of the three event classes you specify the maximum number of events that
can be stored in the send buffer before they are sent to the communications partner.
Range of values: 0 .. 255
If you enter zero, the function is deactivated for the relevant class. As many events can
be stored for the class as the overall size of the send buffer or a configured Delay time for
events allows.
Note the overall size of the send buffer, refer to the section Performance data (Page 32).
Delay time for events
● Class 1 / Class 2 / Class 3
Here, for each of the three event classes you specify the maximum time the events can
be stored in the send buffer before they are sent to the communications partner. Time in
seconds.
If you enter zero, the function is deactivated for the relevant class. As many events can
be stored for the class as the overall size of the send buffer or a configured buffer for
events allows.

Allows operation both with TCP and UDP.
Every value change is saved chronologically in the send buffer.
Only the current value at the time the tag is read is saved in the send buffer and
overwrites the last saved value there.
