To test a device, key in its
number and press . At the
end of the test, the screen
will return to the original
display. In this way, you can
test as many of the devices as
you wish. Each of the ten
tests is described below.
When you have finished, press
16 and to return to the
diagnostic menu.
To terminate the test before
it is completed, press the
[Break] key while holding down
the [Cntrl] key. The screen
should return to the diagnos-
tic menu.

If any errors are found on the
board, the screen will display:
MAIN BOARD TEST
kkk ERROR ***
You may get an additional error
message. For example, if there
is a problem with the floppy
disk controller, you may see
this message:
FDC FAILED
A problem on your main board
means that the system unit
should be serviced.
* Main board comprises two boards: CPU board and I/O board
