Write current is descreased when this signal
is low.
Low when at cylinders 128 and under.
A three-bit head address indicator.
Write data is written to drive when this
Signal is low.
When low, this signal indicates completion of
seek operation.
Read/write operations via
READY signal are only possible when this
Signal is low.
When low, this signal indicates that drive
head has reached the outermost cylinder.
Direction out (reverse)
seek is executed until
this signal is detected by the REZERO command.
During the power on operation, the controller
cannot transmit the DRDY signal until this
Signal has been detected.
This signal indicates abnormal condition in the
disk drive.
Read/write cannot be executed
when this signal is low.
This is a pulse output once per disk revolu-
tion to indicate data track opening.
This signal indicates that the disk drive is
operating normally.
Seek, read, and write can
only be executed when this signal is low.
This pulse signal makes the head begin seek-
ing.
Each pulse seeks one cylinder.
Use
jumper plug inside board to select between 1
seek per pulse
(normal mode) or high-speed
seek using high-speed pulses
(buffer mode).
Use signal to select from among two or more
disk drives connected to the controller.
Up
to two disk drives can be connected for each
board mounted on the controller.
This signal is kept high (DE-SELECT status)
except during seek, read, and write operations.
