Using FTP Commands

This section describes the FTP commands which the host computer (FTP client) can send to the FTP
server of the EtherNet/IP Unit. The descriptions should also apply to most workstations, but slight differ-
ences may arise. Refer to your workstation's operation manuals for details.

The FTP commands which can be sent to the EtherNet/IP Unit are listed in the following table.

Note 1 "Remote host" refers to the EtherNet/IP Unit.
2 A "remote file" is a file on the SD Memory Card in the CPU Unit.
3 "Local host" refers to the host computer (FTP client).
4 "Local file" refers to a file on the host computer (FTP client).

Changes a file name.
Creates a new directory in the working directory in the remote host.

Changes the work directory in the remote host to the specified directory.
Displays the work directory on the remote host.
Specifies the data type of transferred files.
Transfers the specified remote file to the local host.
Transfers the specified multiple remote files to the local host.
Transfers the specified local file to the remote host.
Transfers the specified multiple local files to the remote host.
Deletes the specified file from the remote host.
Deletes the specified multiple files from the remote host.
Disconnects the FTP server.
Closes the FTP client.
Closes the FTP client.
