Refer to your machine manual.
The machine tool builder configures the behavior of the
control with vectors that are not perpendicular.
Alternatively to generating the default error message,
the control can correct (or replace) the base vector that
is not perpendicular. This correction (or replacement)
does not affect the normal vector.
Default correction behavior of the control if the base
vector is not perpendicular:
The base vector is projected along the normal vector
onto the working plane (defined by the normal
vector).
Correction behavior of the control if the base vector is
not perpendicular and too short, parallel or antiparallel to
the normal vector:
If the normal vector has no X component, the base
vector corresponds to the original X axis
If the normal vector has no Y component, the base
vector corresponds to the original Y axis
