5 Advanced Operations
Setting Up Adaptive Control (Automatic Update or Notification and Then Changing to Fixed Control When Necessary)
Automatic Update
Preparations for adaptive control have been completed when the A indicator changes
from flashing to not lit. The PID constants for adaptive control (SP response PID
constants and disturbance PID constants) will be updated automatically.*3
*The PID constants for adaptive control are displayed only when the Adaptive Control parameter is set to "Fixed."
Normal Operation
Preparations for adaptive control have been completed. From here on, control will be performed with the
PID constants for adaptive control. The system performance will be evaluated when the temperature
increases,*1 and control will be performed while automatically updating to the optimum PID constants.
Notification
Control during 1st and 2nd Evaluation
The A indicator flashes and then goes out to indicate completion (only the first time).
The PID constants for adaptive control (SP response PID constants and disturbance PID
constants) are updated. Control is performed with the PID constants for adaptive control.*3
*The PID constants for adaptive control are displayed only when the Adaptive Control parameter is set to "Fixed."
Control during 3rd Evaluation
The system performance is evaluated when the temperature rises.*1 If
the system fluctuation exceeds the set value of the System Fluctuation
Reference Deviation parameter, the A indicator will light.
To update the PID constants for adaptive control, set the PID Update (Adaptive
Control) parameter to "ON" in the Adjustment Level.
*Even if no notification is provided, you can update the parameters if system performance has been evaluated.*2
Operating Procedure
Setting the PID Update (Adaptive Control) Parameter
1. Press the M Key several times in the Adjustment Level to display
a-ud (PID Update (Adaptive Control).
2. Press the U to select ON (Update). When updating the parameters
is completed, the display will return to "OFF."
Normal Operation
Preparations for adaptive control have been completed. From here on, control will be performed with the PID constants for
adaptive control. System performance will be evaluated when the temperature rises,*1 and the user monitors lighting of the A
indicator to determine when to update the PID constants for adaptive control while the temperature is controlled.
Fixed
Set "Fixed" control after system performance evaluation has been performed with "Automatic
update" or "Notification" (i.e., after the PID constants for adaptive control have been calculated).
Set the Adaptive Control parameter to "Fixed" in the Initial Setting Level.
Operating Procedure
Setting Up Adaptive Control
1. Press the M Key several times in the Initial
Setting Level to display adpt (Adaptive Control).
2. Press the U or D Key to set fix
(Fixed).
Normal Operation
Preparations for adaptive control have been completed. System performance evaluation is not performed
again. The temperature is controlled without updating the PID constants for adaptive control.
