There are two methods for accessing functions: step access and direct (speed) ac-
cess.
Step Access
To access functions in a stepwise manner, the procedure is like that described for
navigating the operational layers. Begin from pressing Menu/Exit, and then use the
programming keys to locate, enter and set the desired function.
For example, to set the number of times the machine is to redial a number, from
standby mode with no document loaded, more than 10 keys must be pressed for the
Redial Tries display to appear.
