Speed Access
If the function is assigned a speed access number, typing this number in at the menu
display prompt in the first operational layer will bring up the setting or registration
display in the fourth operational layer for direct access.
Notes:
1) Speed access numbers are only assigned to Set Up menu functions (fourth opera-
tional layer.)
2) Speed access can only be initiated from the first operational layer.
3) Speed access numbers must be entered in two-digit form (i.e., 00-99)
4) Speed access numbers are set at the factory and cannot be changed. Some num-
bers are not operational depending on the country in which a machine is purchased
and whether or not the machine is equipped with the proper option(s).
Example
43 Dial Tone Detect is skipped.
IIn the following example of speed access, from the standby mode with no document
loaded, only three keys must be pressed before the Redial Tries display appears.
1 Press Menu/Exit.
2 Press "4" key.
3 Press "0" key.
4 Wait, Redial Tries display appears.
