Loading Paper
The standard paper tray can hold up to 250 sheets of standard-weight (20lb) paper.
For best results, use paper specifically made for laser printers or photocopiers. The
machine is set for universal adjustment, allowing the use of A4, letter or legal sized
paper. The machine automatically reduces the vertical length of the paper images it
receives to fit on the paper loaded in it.
Note: Reduction down to 75% of the size of the original; e.g., if the paper tray is
loaded with A4 or letter-sized paper, a document sent on legal paper will be reduced to
fit on the paper loaded in the machine.
Tip: Factory setting is for A4 paper. If another paper size will be used, change the
1'ST Paper Size setting of the user functions to match the appropriate paper size.
1 Remove the paper tray from the machine.
2 Adjust the paper guides to the width of the paper to be loaded.
3 Lift up on the paper length adjustment guide and set it to the length of the
paper. (If using legal paper, remove the extension at the backside of the tray.)
4 Load the paper into the tray print side down (up to 250 sheets).
5 Return the paper tray to its slot, and push it in until it latches in place.
Tip: Be sure the paper fits under the tabs at both edges of the tray. Do not fill
past the Paper Full marker.
