6. Run-out check
1. Measure:
9 Runout
Use the crank stand alignment 1 and
digital gauge 2.
Out of specification → Adjust.
Crank stand alignment
90890-03107
Digital gauge set
90890-01252
Runout limit
0.03 mm (0.0012 in)
NOTE:
If the dial gauge reading is 0.03 mm (0,0012 in) or
more, adjust the crankshaft so that the reading is
less than 0.03 mm (0,0012 in).
Use a copper hammer, as shown.
2. Measure:
9 Axial play
Out of specification → Repair/replace.
Maximum axial play "f"
2.0 mm (0.08 in)
