5) Turn the flywheel counterclockwise so that
specified value on the timing mark aligns with
the timing plate.
Ignition timing:
20 – 22° (BTDC.)
6) Align the ignition mark on the flywheel magne-
to base with the TDC mark on the flywheel
magneto rotor.
7) Loosen the two bolts securing magneto base
stopper 1. Bring the stopper on the full-open
side of magneto base stopper 1 to contact the
left side of the cap on magneto base stopper 2,
and tighten the two bolts to secure magneto
base stopper 1.
8) Adjust the magneto control rod length.
