Manual Shaft-Parking Paw!
Removal
(1) Unthread jamnut retaining detent lever on man-
ual shaft.
(2) Remove manual shaft retaining pin (fig. 2C-31).

C A U T I O N : Do not unthread the jamnut as it comes off
the manual shaft.
(3) Remove jamnut, manual shaft and seal.
(4) Remove m a n u a l shaft-to-case seal using
screwdriver.
(5) Remove parking actuator rod and detent lever
assembly.
(6) Remove parking bracket attaching screw and
remove bracket (fig. 2C-32).
