SET PROPER LAMP TYPE (POWER)

Do not attempt to ignite the lamp until its type (kW) is correctly set in the Install menu.
Skip this step if the new lamp is the same size as the old lamp. The Lamp Type will still be correct in
the Install menu.
If your new lamp is larger or smaller than the old lamp, record the new lamp type (2.0, 3.0, 4.5 or 6.0
kW) in the TPC Install menu before igniting the new lamp. This setting establishes the proper range of
power available for the installed lamp, ensuring the new lamp is neither under-powered nor over-
driven.

TURN LAMP ON

Press and hold the Lamp button from the TPC Main menu.

ADJUST LAMP POSITION

Using the TPC, adjust the lamp position within the projector. For more information, refer to 3.7
Working with the Lamp in the CP2000 User's Manual. This ensures maximum performance, with the
lamp (bulb) well-centered with the reflector and distanced correctly from the rest of the illumination
system.

RECORD SERIAL NUMBER OF NEW LAMP

1. In the Advanced:Lamp menu, select New Lamp.
2. In the Lamp History submenu, enter the serial number in the text box.
3. Save to record the number and to reset the lamp timer. The timer will now begin to log time for the
new lamp.

4.4.2 FILTER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

Use only Christie filters. Never operate the projector without the filter installed.
Replace the air filter whenever the lamp module is replaced, or more frequently if operating the
projector in a dusty or dirty environment. Check monthly in all cases. The filter is located on the
operator side of the projection head, near the front (Figure 4-3 Air Filter Replacement).
1. Power down and disconnect from AC. Follow Steps 1-3 from the
Procedure.
2. Loosen the two corner screws on the filter door and remove.
3. Remove the old filter and discard. Insert the new air filter, following the labeling for proper inside/
outside orientation. Slide all the way down into its slot.
