TROUBLESHOOTING

Following is a list of the most frequently Questions/Answers we meet at our Technical
Support Department.
If any trouble appears while using the TEK-AT4LVG, please check this list first.
If the trouble still persists, contact TEKNOR's Technical Support Department.
Q1.
My computer does not retain the information entered in the AWARD BIOS setup
(CMOS). What is the problem ?
A1.
The battery jumper is not installed. When TEKNOR ships a Single Board
Computer (SBC), the battery is disconnected (no jumper). Refer to Section 4.01 -
"Connecting the Battery", to connect the battery jumper.
Q2.
My SCSI devices are not working or are intermittent. Is there something I should
look for ?
A2.
Make sure that the termination resistors are found only on both ends of the SCSI
bus. The TEK735 SCSI interface is terminated ; it has to be at one end of the SCSI
bus and not in the middle.
Q3.
My SBC boots up, but when the hard or floppy disk is accessed, it reboots. What is
wrong with my board ?
A3.
All TEKNOR boards come with a power monitoring circuit. This circuit keeps the
board in a reset state while the +5V power input is under 4.75V.
In your case, your power supply tries to give the current needed by your computer
system but by doing so, drops the voltage below 4.75V. Make sure that your power
supply is able to provide the maximum current asked by your system.
