10.03 FEATURE CONNECTOR

The Video Feature Connector (also called a Dynamic Overlay Port) at J9 is a VESA/VGA
pass-through connector. It directly supports the 8-bit mode; the connector also supports
the 16-bit mode when using an external data multiplexer.
Through the Video Feature Connector, the TEK-AT4LVG makes possible dynamic
overlay. In dynamic overlay configurations, the video signal can be overlayed on a pixel
basis. This makes it possible to overlay a portion of the frame and mix the signal with
externally generated video signal. Both the video source and the choice of pixels to
overlay can be changed dynamically.
The following list includes approved vendors for the J9 connector's mating parts:
Robinson Nugent IDS-C26PK-TG,
Amp 746286-6 [optional strain relief: 499252-3],
Thomas & Betts 622-2630 [optional strain relief: 622-2641].
(26-pin flat connector).
The connector's pinout is described below. See Diagram 10-1 for the location of J9.
