VII. OPERATION

A. Control Panel
The control panel of this printer allows the user to perform the basic printer operation, change
the printer configuration that cannot be controlled by the software application, identify the avail-
able typefaces, and check the printer status.
The control panel consists of 2 LCDs, 2 LEDs and 8 operation keys.
Contents of each display and functions of the keys are explained on the following pages.

MESSAGE indicator (orange): 1
Lit:
Indicates that a service call has occurred in the printer.
Blinking:
Indicates that the printer cannot print (error state) due to an operator call or an error
occurred in the printer.
OFF:
Indicates that no error occurred in the printer.
ONLINE indicator (green): 2
Lit:
Indicates that the printer is online and in the ready state.
Blinking:
Indicates that the printer is online and is currently processing or printing data.
