11. NETWORK PROTOCOL SETUP menu
The NETWORK PROTOCOL SETUP menus are used to specify and setup TCP/IP Ethernet,
TCP/IP TokenRing, Apple Talk, and IPX (Novell) network protocols.
The submenus in the NETWORK PROTOCOL SETUP menus are shown below. (Default val-
ues are in the square brackets.)

Remarks
Select "YES" if you have a TCP/IP net-
work connected to the printer over
Ethernet cabling.
Use the up and down arrow keys to
assign the printer an Ethernet IP
Address.
Displayed when "TCP/IP-ETHERNET" is
set to "YES".
Use this submenu to modify the subnet
mask for printing with TCP/IP over
Ethernet.
Enter one of the following values when
the subnet mask needs to be set.
255.000.000.000:
If the IP address starts with a number
less than 128.
255.255.000.000:
If the IP address starts with a number
from 128 through 191.
255.255.255.000
If the IP address starts with a number
greater than 191.
Displayed when "TCP/IP-ETHERNET" is
set to "YES".
In some cases, the values may differ
from the above.
Select "YES" if you have a TCP/IP con-
nected to the printer over TokenRing
cabling.
Use this submenu to modify the subnet
mask for printing with TCP/IP over
TokenRing.
Enter one of the following values when
the subnet mask needs to be set.
255.000.000.000:
If the IP address starts with a number
less than 128.
255.255.000.000:
If the IP address starts with a number
from 128 through 191.
255.255.255.000
If the IP address starts with a number
greater than 191.
Displayed when "TCP/IP-TOKEN RING"
is set to "YES".
