2. Side registration guide home posi-
tion sensor
1) Remove the lower feed guide according
to the duplex pick-up paper sensor
removal procedure 1) through 2) on
page 3-73.
2) Remove the side registration gear and
then the side registration guide (left).
3) Unhook the claw and then remove the
sensor cover.

4) Disconnect the connector, unhook the 2
claws, and then remove the side regis-
tration guide home position sensor.
< Note for reassembly >
When installing the side registration gear,
keep the side registration guides (left and
right) farthest apart from the center.
3. Duplex pick-up paper sensor
1) Remove the upper feed guide according
to the side registration motor removal
procedure 1) through 4) on page 3-70.
2) Remove the 2 screws and then the lower
feed guide.

3) Disconnect the connector, unhook the 2
claws, and then remove the duplex
pick-up paper sensor.
4. Reversing unit paper sensor
1) Referring to page 3-71, remove the
deflector drive solenoid.
2) Remove the 2 screws and then the strap
retainer.
3) Remove the 6 screws, 2 springs, and
then the reversing crossmember.
