CHAPTER 3
I. Toner Level Detection PCBs (emitter
and receiver)
1) Remove the left cover unit.
2) Unhook the 3 claws, disconnect the
connector, and then remove the toner
level detection PCB (emitter). Unhook
the 2 claws, disconnect the connector,
and then remove the toner level detec-
tion PCB (receiver).

Note: When replacing the toner level
detection PCBs, do NOT touch the
light emitting/receiving area.

J. Waste Toner Full Detection PCBs
(emitter and receiver)
1) Remove the shield plate according to
the DC controller PCB removal proce-
dure 1) through 2) on page 3-59.
2) Remove the cable from the cable clip.
3) Remove the screw, and remove the
waste toner full detection unit.

4) Remove the screw, connector, and then
the waste toner full detection PCB
(emitter). Or, remove the 3 hooks, con-
nector, and then the waste toner full
detection PCB (receiver).
Note: When replacing the waste toner full
PCBs, do NOT touch the light emit-
ting and receiving area.
