CHAPTER 3
2. Side registration motor
1) Remove the duplex feed unit.
2) Remove the right duplex feed cover.
3) Remove the left duplex feed cover.
4) Remove the 5 screws and 4 pins,
unhook the 2 claws, and then remove
the upper feed guide.

Note: When removing pins or unhooking
claws, insert a precision screwdriv-
er to the metal plate on the pin.

5) Remove the 2 screws, disconnect the
connector, and then remove the side
registration motor.

3. Duplex feed motor
1) Remove the power supply unit accord-
ing to the power supply unit removal
procedure on page 3-76.
2) Disconnect the connector (J3104, 4
pins) from the duplexing unit driver
PCB.
3) Remove the 2 screws and then the
duplex feed motor.
4. Reversing motor
1) Remove the right reversing cover.
2) Disconnect the connector (J3105, 5
pins) from the duplexing unit driver
PCB.
3) Remove the 2 screws and then the
reversing motor.
5. Feed roller pressure release solenoid
1) Remove the lower left cover.
2) Remove the 2 screws, disconnect the
connector, and then remove the feed
roller pressure release solenoid unit.

3) Remove the 2 screws and then the feed
roller pressure release solenoid.
