Have patience while this is happening, because if you disconnect your
BlackBerry from your computer while this reboot is happening, your
BlackBerry might become unusable.
10. Finally, when the process is finished, you should see a small status
message in the upper left corner, as shown in Figure 2-32.

Update Device Software

Also in Application Loader, you can update the device software which is the System
Software running on your BlackBerry smartphone. You can actually upgrade and
downgrade using this feature.
1. Click the Start button under the Update Software section of the
Application Loader main screen (Figure 2-26).
2. The software will then check your BlackBerry and the Internet to see if
there are updates available.
3. Finally, you will see a screen similar to the one shown in Figure 2-33.
