Replying to Messages

Once you get the hang of emailing on your BlackBerry, you'll soon find yourself checking
your email all the time and wanting to respond quickly to any emails you get. Replying to
messages is very easy on the BlackBerry.
TIP: The shortcut hotkeys to Reply, Reply all, Compose, and Forward are very easy (R = Reply,
L = Reply All, C = Compose Email, F = Forward). You can press any of these keys either when
reading a message or viewing a received message in the message list (Inbox). See page 543
for all email hotkeys.
1. Open your email inbox by clicking on the
Messages icon.
NOTE: The Message icon will usually have a red asterisk or
might be flashing to indicate you have new mail.
2. Scroll to an email you want to read and
click the trackpad to open it.
3. Press the Menu key or click the trackpad,
then scroll to Reply and click. Or, simply
press the R shortcut key.
4. The recipient is now shown in the To: field.
5. Type in your message, and click the trackpad when done.
6. Click Send from the short menu and your email is on its way.
