Home Screen Preferences and Options

On your BlackBerry, you can
customize many things about your
Home screen by pressing the
Menu key from the Home screen
and selecting Options.
This brings up the Home Screen
Preferences screen. Glide the
trackpad down to see all the
settings options, as shown in
Figure 8-2.

Set Download Folder

Use Downloads ( the d efault) o r c hange t o a ny o ther f older---- - even the Home folder. This
can be convenient if you download many apps and you want easy access to those icons
from your Home screen.

Set Home Screen Layout

The Zen layout is the default. With just a few icons on the bottom of the Home Screen,
you get a nice view of the background wallpaper. The Today layout gives you a preview
of recent Messages, Calls, and upcoming Calendar events, as Figure 8-3 shows.
