1. Click on the Applications icon (in the upper right corner of the main
screen) and you will be taken to the Applications screen in Desktop
Manager (Figure 4-22).

2. To check for updates, click the Check for Updates button in the lower
left-hand corner.
3. Place a check mark in any application that isn't checked already, and it
will be installed on your device. Conversely, uncheck any box, and that
application will be removed from your BlackBerry.
4. Click the Start button and the selected or deselected applications will
be either installed or uninstalled, depending on your selections.
TIP: For peace of mind, it is always a good idea to perform a backup both before and after you
add or delete applications from the device.

Update Your BlackBerry Device Software

When BlackBerry has issued a new version of device software for your BlackBerry
smartphone, you will see an alert window in Desktop Manager when you connect your
device to your Mac. This window will tell you that a new version of device system
software is available and ask you if you would like to update your BlackBerry. To update
your device, click OK or Update depending on the screen shown.
