Next time we type Flagler, it will not be shown as
misspelled. What's even better is that the next time
we misspell Flagler (e.g., Flaglr), the spell checker will
find it and give us the correct spelling.
Editing or Deleting Words from the Custom Dictionary
Mistakes will happen, and it's fairly easy to click the wrong menu item and inadvertently
add wrong words to the custom dictionary. We have done this plenty of times!
1. Get to the Spell Check options screen
via the Messages icon > Menu key >
Options > Spell Check or Options icon
> Spell Check
2. Click the Custom Dictionary button at
the bottom.
3. Now you'll see a list of every word in
your custom dictionary.
4. Scroll down or start typing a few letters
to Find the word. In this case, we know
we want to remove the word misspellg
from the dictionary, so we type the letter
m to instantly jump to those entries that
start with m.
5. Highlight the word you want to edit or
delete.
6. Press the Menu key and select Delete to
get rid of the word or Edit to enter any
changes.
7. Press the Menu key or Escape key and
Save your changes.
