Custom Dictionary

If you use a lot of special words in your emails, such as local place names, that aren't in
the standard dictionary, you may want to add them to your own unique custom
dictionary. The advantage of this is that you'll never again be asked to replace that word
with something suggested. And if you misspell this custom word, you'll be prompted
with the correct spelling. Once you realize how useful it can be, you'll often want to add
words to your custom dictionary.
Adding Words to the Custom Dictionary
To add a new word, follow these steps as shown in Figure 6-6.
1. Type in a word you use frequently that's not in the standard dictionary.
In this example, we are using Flagler County, a county in Florida that's
not in the standard dictionary.
2. During the spell-checking process, the spell checker will notice the word
Flagler, which it believes is misspelled.
3. You'll see that the spell checker suggests options for replacing the
word, none of which are correct.
4. Press the Menu key.
5. Click Add to Dictionary to add the word to your own custom dictionary.
TIP: You may also see Cancel Spell Check. You can use this to end the spell check without
verifying the rest of the document.
