After you finish adding your account, your data is restored on your new device.
Delete your device data with a factory reset
Before you switch to a new device or give away your current device, you should delete your data. A factory reset is designed
to delete all of the data on your device permanently so that it can't be recovered. The permanently deleted data includes
email accounts, downloaded apps, media files, documents, browser bookmarks, and settings.
1.
Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap
> Backup & reset.
3.
Tap Factory data reset > Reset phone.

Update your device software

When a new device software update is available for your device, a notification appears. Updating your device software to
the latest version can help your device run well and stay secure.
1.
Swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger.
2.
Tap the System update notification, and then tap Download.
Note: Major updates can take time to download and install and might require you to restart your device. To help prevent
issues, keep your device connected to a power source and a reliable Wi-Fi network while the update is in progress.
Check for device software updates manually
1.
Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap
> About phone > System updates > Check for updates.
3.
If an update is available, tap Download.
