Device Switch Wizard

If you are upgrading from another BlackBerry, a Palm
device or a Windows Mobile device, you will want to
use the Device Switch Wizard in Desktop Manager.
After clicking the Device Switch Wizard, you will see that you have two options
depending on the type of device you were using before your BlackBerry Bold, as shown
in Figure 2-5.

Moving from Another BlackBerry

You'll first need to connect that old (called ) BlackBerry to your computer in order
to get started. Then click the Start button and follow the on-screen instructions. Your
current BlackBerry data will be backed up to your computer. Then, you connect your
new Bold to the computer so all data (including email setup and other settings) can be
restored.
