2.2 The Menu System
The USM Go menu system, as shown in Figure 8 on page 20, allows the operator to select and adjust various instrument features and
settings. It includes:

Acquire Menu: Consists of several submenus used to calibrate the instrument prior to a test, configure the instrument during a test,
select the pulser and receiver characteristics, and configure the gates.
•
SETUP Menu: Consists of several submenus used to configure the instrument prior to a test, including specifying the acquire mode and
the screen appearance, adjusting the A-Scan display, setting the alarms, and controlling other significant measurement parameters.
The information provided in this chapter describes each menu function and shows how to access each function through the menu system.
The EVALuation MODE Function, which is located in the EVAL submenu of the SETUP menu, determines which submenu for evaluating
results appears in the Acquire and SETUP menus (see the shaded cells in Figure 8 on page 20). See Figure 9 on page 21 for the available
Evaluation Mode options.
