If there is a problem locating the primary domain controller when using user-
level security mode in Windows (SMB), all users will be denied access to the
StorPoint CD.
You can verify the configuration settings from the StorPoint CD web interface.
Within the Administration Web pages, click Network Settings, Detailed View,
and select the Windows (SMB) tab to do that.
In Windows NT, you can correct the problem by logging on to the StorPoint
CD as local administrator. Note that the local administrator is not the same as
an Administrator with an account on the domain.
In the Map Network Drive dialog, specify the following:
Path:
The StorPoint CD name
Connect as: Server name\Administrator
The password set in the
Password:
ServerPassword parameter
Example:
The host name of the StorPoint CD is
\\cdserv\root
Path:
Connect as:
cdserv\Administrator
In Windows 95, you cannot tell the SMB client to change domain and user

when you are already logged in. Therefore, you cannot use the local
administrator account to solve domain problems in the Windows 95
environment.
